This game came out in 1994. I saw the preview in a magazine and I had to buy it. When I first played it it looked like a regular Doom-Clone but when I got into the story I loved this game. The Gameplay was the best in this time. I played the game all night long. The futuristic story is the thing I like so much about this game.
I got the original full version of this game right here for DOWNLOAD. There are also some pictures from the manual and cover... hope you enjoy this page.

I found this FAQ, I hope it'll answer all your questions:
Q: Will objects in System Shock 2 feature the same range of manipulability as promised
for Thief: The Dark Project?
The object system in this engine is, without a doubt, materially the most powerful object
system in any first person game. The
amount of control is absolutely incredible, and completely from a designer side. Each
object can have one or more of 500 plus
paremeters (We've never counted them all
) set on them from whether it is a
"trap" to its physics shape, to its sensitivity to arbitrary
stimuli (hot, cold, noise, whatever you see fit). It really is (no hyperbole here) a
marvel of modern game software engineering.
Q: What enhancements over the original System Shock is the Shock 2 team working on?
A: There are dozens and dozens of enhancements, but perhaps the biggest ones are the
addition of incredibly rich RPG system and
a full 3d 16 bit hardware specific engine. Shock 2 is one of those few titles that doesn't
compromise either hardcore gameplay for
technology or vice versa.
Q: How does Shock 2 compare to other RPGS?
Shock 2 is a full RPG in the tradition of Ultima Underworld, with character generation and
growth, stats, experience, inventory,
equipping, the whole magilla.
Q: Will there be multiplayer?
A: Yes. Stay tuned for more details on our multiplayer mode soon.
Q: A lot of games tend to eschew gameplay for hot graphics. Shock 2 looks great, but will
Shock 2 be another mindless,
brain dead shooter?
A: Well, kind of a loaded question. :-) In today's game industry, there is a lot of
pressure to make games dumbed down, with slick
visuals and nearly zero gameplay. We don't buy into that logic -- the whole concept behind
System Shock 2 is to take all the
engaging, complex gameplay of a full-bore RPG and bring it into an engine with technology
for 1999, not 1989. While the looks are
there (see our screenshot archive), interesting and immersive gameplay is, and always has
been our main focus.
Q: Aren't RPGs turn-based and boring? I mean, the original System Shock wasn't an RPG...
A: Actually, the original System Shock *was* an RPG, at least in our eyes, but a lot of
the details were wrapped in a different
presentation from most other RPGs. For example, the software implants really play the same
role as stats in a conventional RPG. In
System Shock 2, the biggest change is that we are making these RPG elements more apparent
to the player with terminology and
presentation that is more standard. System Shock draws heavily from the RPG elements of
the original System Shock, as well as an
earlier LookingGlass game, Ultima Underworld. Neither of those games were turn based, and
neither is System Shock 2.
